Helping the environment

We try to help the environment by removing your old appliance. We recondition as many appliances as possible, the remainder are recycled. Depending on the service you choose we recycle your packaging that comes around the new appliance*.

Reconditioned Appliances

Any Reconditoned appliances come with a 6 month warranty. These appliances have been repaired and refurbished to a high standard by an experienced appliance engineer. After the 6 month warranty these appliances also come with our Lifetime Labour warranty (£26.95 call out charge + Parts, never pay a labour bill). These appliances can show signs of use and some have cosmetic damage. If you wish to view these products they are available to view in our reconditoned centre in stourport (DY13 9JY).

Failed Delivery

In the event that we deliver and no one is present a £20 charge will be applied to cover the cost of another delivery. In the event that a customer wishes to cancel an order due to this, the cost of the order will be refunded minus £20 for each attempted delivery. If the item is a special order product the 20% restocking fee will also be applied;

Stock 

Our website has three different messages for stock availability;

In Stock – Same/Next Day Delivery Available - This means we physically have the stock in our local warehouse available for Click & Collect or delivery immediatley.

Availble to Order Book a date at checkout - This means we dont have the stock locally but our suppliers have the item availble to be ordered for you - usually delivered within 5 working days.

Available to pre-order Please call 01299 822031 for a delivery date. - This means that we and the suppliers are out of stock of this item. For more accurate information of when it will arrive and if you still want to place an order just call the number and a sales person will be able to help you further.

Manufacturers warranty

It is the customers responsibility to register any manufacturer guarantee advertised with any product sold by The Wash House. You must register your appliance with the manufacturer within 14 days of recieving your appliance. If you fail to register your warranty you may lose your manufacturers guarantee, The Wash House cannot be held liable for you failing to do so. If you wish to return your item for reasons other than faults please refer to our returns policy. This does not affect your statutory rights. 

*Please do not register your warranty unless you are happy with the appliance, registering a products guarantee is a form of acceptance. If your machine is registered and you wish to return your item due to a non-fault reason or cosmectic damage then this will not be accepted if the warranty has been registered. 

Please note Lifetime Labour warranty cannot coincide with any manufacturers warranty. Once the manufacturers gurantee finishes the lifetime labour free guarantee then automatically starts. In the event that a manufacturer gives a parts only warranty the lifetime labour guarantee cannot coincide with a manufacturers guarantee.

Payments

We require payment in full at the time of purchase. Any outstanding balances must be paid prior to delivery. Account customers have 30 days to pay from the date of the order. On occasion where a deposit has been agreed in the event of a cancellation then the deposit is non refundable. This does not affect your staturory rights.

Ordered Appliances

In the event that you purchase an appliance that needs to be ordered directly via the manufacturer, a 20% re-stocking fee may apply if you choose to cancel your order. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Lifetime Labour Free

Our lifetime labour policy is automatically registered when your product is purchased from us. A £26.95 call out fee is payabable when booking any lifetime labour call. For further information please visit; www.thewashhouse.com/lifetime-labour

Lifetime Labour Free:
What is NOT covered with ‘Lifetime Labour Free’ Service

Cleaning/unblocking filter and soap drawers on laundry appliances*

Fault due to customers own plumbing or electrical problems*

Replacing of oven/cooker hood bulbs*

Refitting any parts/components that have been removed by customer

No parts will be fitted under the above service that have not been purchased from the Wash House Ltd

The service is not transferable, ie can only be used by the person who has purchased it*

If a fault has arisen due to the machine being relocated by someone other than our delivery/service team

Failure to cancel an appointment*

Gas appliances and American style refrigeration. Also Cooker Hoods, Microwaves and all small appliances, are excluded from Lifetime Labour and Lifetime Labour Plus* * Further details upon request.

 

Repairs

All of our parts that we fit come with a 3 month warranty.

Cancellations;

We require a minimum 24 hour notice for a cancellation on a service call. Failure to give us a minimum notice will result in the call out charge not being refunded.

 

Delivery

We offer Bronze, Silver & Gold delivery & Installation services. 

We offer delivery services from Monday - Saturday. For Gold orders placed on Saturday the order will be delivered on Monday. Gold Services must be placed before 5PM. Any gold service orders placed after 5PM may be delivered the following working day. For example, order placed 5:30PM Monday could be delivered on Wednesday. We will always try to deliver as soon as possible but the services are down to availbility.

If you are outside these areas, but would like to place an order, then please call us on 01299 822031 and we will see if we can accommodate.

Please expect a 3-5 working day period for Bronze or Silver Delivery options. 

Click & Collect

Click and collect is availble on dispaly units in our stores, please note these items are listed as Ex display, this means they are unpacked but unused. This does not affect the warranty of the machine. Click and collect is also available on our boxed stock from our local warehouse at DY13 9JT. If you wish the item to be taken to your preffered store for collection then please contact your local branch for this to be arranged for you.

Rangemaster orders

All rangemaster cookers are built to order and specification. Currently there is up to a 16 week lead time on rangemaster cookers. 

Damages & Missing Parts

All damages must be reported before the item is used and within 14 days of reciept for an exchange. If the item is used or the warranty is registered then it is classed as acceptance therefore the machine cannot be returned for damages. The damaged product must be returned with all parts that were supplied. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please check the content of your product when you have it delivered. If any parts are missing you must notify us withing 14 days. After that we may not be able to obtain missing parts, if we can there may be a charge for these parts. 

Returns

If you wish to return an item then you must return it in the original unopened condition. Returns are only accepted within 14 days of delivery or collection. The item must be in an unused condition and the warranty must not be registered. If the warranty is registered then the goods are classed as accepted. If the item is being returned due to a customer not having a right connection point then the cost of the services will not be refunded and a 20% restocking fee will be enforced on the order.

Installation notes for customers

PLEASE NOTE:
It is the customers responsibility to have suitable points for us to connect to. While we will advise as best as we can it is the customers responsibility to get any work that may need to be done for it to become a point to point connection. In the event of a customer wanting to cancel an order based on not having suitable connections a 20% restocking charge will be enforced for the product and any charges will not be refunded.

Gas Appliances

We do not offer a gas installation service. If you require a gas installation please call your local store and we will be happy to recommend a local fitter.

Electric cookers

The most common problem we encounter when fitting electric cookers is that the existing cooker cable is not the correct size. We can sometimes change this quite easily for a small charge. If we cannot change the cable we may not be able to fit your appliance, and it may be necessary for you to contact an electrician to do the work.

Washing machines/dishwashers

We will connect to a suitable point (ie existing washing machine taps and waste pipes). If these are not suitable and we have to change taps, extended hoses, or alter plumbing in any way, an extra charge may apply. We may have to re-book to complete extra plumbing or electrical work after quotation has been accepted.

Refrigeration

When purchasing refrigeration appliances from The Wash House, please note that there is a £20 charge for the removal of the old refrigeration appliance. If you need the Doors reversing another £20 charge will apply on the day.

Televisions

Installation is offered for a point to point connection including tuning your tv. It does not include mounting TV’s on the wall, however we can do this for an extra charge if you require, please call us for more information on this. While our best efforts will be to install your TV in the case of extra parts needed there may be additional charges for non-point to point connections. We don’t do any work on aerials.

Lino/cushion flooring

We will take the utmost care when fitting your appliance but we cannot accept responsibility for any damage that is caused due to the nature and condition of the floor covering. If you have new flooring please put down some type of protective covering.

Access

Please assist us by making access as clear as possible. We may need to use a sack truck in your property so please protect your flooring. We will take great care but appliances can be very heavy.

Special order items or parts can be returned unused within 7 days after this time we cannot accept a return. The item must be in an unused condition and the warranty must not be registered. If the warranty is registered then the goods are classed as accepted. If the item is being returned due to a customer not having a right connection point then the cost of the services will not be refunded and a 20% restocking fee will be enforced on the order.

Stock

Our website has different messages for stock availability;

In Stock – FREE Next Day Delivery Available - This means we physically have the stock in our local warehouse available for Click & Collect or for Next Day Delivery.

Availble for delivery from ........  - This means we dont have the stock locally but our suppliers have the item availble to be ordered for you - the date you pick at checkout will take into consideration getting the product in for you.

Please Note - Lifetime Labour is a free service given with a puchase. The Wash House holds the rights to refuse a customer for Lifetime Labour in extreme or intolerable circumstances.

Loyalty Cards

Loyalty cards give the holder 25% off their Delivery, Installation and Removal Costs, and are to be used Instore, please note this cannot be used in conjuction with any other service offers or promotions.

 

Delivery

We offer different delivery options with or without installation

Same-Day Delivery - If you are ordering in-stock items before 2PM either in-store or online, then we can offer Same-Day Delivery to DY and WR postcodes.

Express Delivery - We deliver to all the above postcodes on our Express Delivery service of 1 to 2 days (Currently FREE)

Standard Delivery - We deliver free to all the above postcodes on a 3+ day service

Installation notes for customers

PLEASE NOTE:

It is the customers responsibility to have suitable points for us to connect to. Plug Sockets

We will not plug any appliance into an extension cable as per manfucaturers instructions. It is up to the customer to have a suitable point (a socket) for us to plug the appliance into.

Gas Appliances

We do not offer a gas installation service. If you require a gas installation please call your local store and we will be happy to recommend a local fitter.

Electric cookers

If you need the Doors reversing another £20 charge will apply on the day. (American Style is £30.00 to remove). In the event that the doors of an American style needs to be taken off to gain access to the property an additional £60 charge will be charged on the day for this service.
